Schuler Intiative

The Schuler Initiative

The Schuler Initiative, sponsored by the Schuler Education Foundation, is a three-year pilot project that aims to provide liberal arts colleges insight and understanding into their young alumni in order to engage those young alumni better and more effectively.

Five top liberal arts colleges were tapped to join the pilot in October 2018 where 7,000 young alumni responded to a survey about their attitudes toward giving back to their alma mater. Research consulting firm Ruffalo Noel and Levitz partnered with the Schuler Education Foundation to provide the five colleges analysis of the survey results and marketing support to engage young alumni based on those results. The Initiative also encourages collaborative problem-solving and idea sharing among the five college partners. The Initiative will review attainment and retention of young alumni donors at the five pilot colleges throughout the three-year pilot.

Young Alumni Engagement and Philanthropy

The capstone of the Schuler Initiative, the Young Alumni Engagement and Philanthropy report, details the work done in collaboration between the Foundation, Ruffalo Noel and Levitz, and the five partner colleges.
